| On lap 5 near the entrance of turn 1, RonnieM drifted into Scrooluice, pushing him into Gumby...with both cars going into the wall. Gumby would lose all the draft and be out of the event while Scrooluice would catch the 2nd pack draft |

GR8-1 and Che 2 started from the front row, being the only two drivers to qualify in a time of less than 37 seconds. Che2 would take the lead on lap 1, as 12 of the 13 cars were still in the lead draft. The one car that was not in the draft was Elliot9matt, who would get help the next lap from Efgordon and Viagra6car...and Lepage71 after he hit the wall. After Che2 led the first 2 laps, GR8-1 would lead lap 3, followed by Kyle4445 leading laps 4-6. On the 5th lap though, RonnieM drifted up into Scrooluice as the cars approached turn 1. Scrooluice could do nothing except run into Gumby, who was outside of him at the time. Both cars would hit the wall, with Gumby losing all the draft and retiring from the race as Scrooluice would end up in the 2nd draft pack, now making that 5 cars. It became 6 cars briefly as Crkfngr lost the lead draft, but then lost the 2nd pack's draft a lap later. Crkfngr was also done for the night. Che2 would take the lead back again on lap 7, as Pitbull4 lost the lead draft and ended up in the 2nd draft pack, which was now gaining on the leaders pretty quickly. Sure enough, the 2 packs became one on lap 9. Lepage71 went right to the lead on lap 10, but Che2 would go right back to the lead on lap 11. On this 11th lap, Scrooluice was knocked out of the draft because of 3 wide racing with GR8-1 & Kyle4445. GR8-1 bumped Kyle4445, then Kyle4445 ended up in the side of Scrooluice, putting him just barely out of the draft. He did continue on and finished the race in 8th position. Not much occured over the next several laps, other than lead changes. They were-KTIN3 leading lap 12, GR8-1 leading lap 13, Lepage71 leading lap 14, Che2 leading laps 15-20. On that 20th lap, KTIN3 would lose the draft after attempting to make a move up front on the outside and getting no help. This simple move amazingly lost him the draft. Again, a long stretch occured before anything major happened. Lead changes were-Kyle4445 on lap 21, GR8-1 on lap 22, Elliot9matt on lap 23, RonnieM on lap 24, and Che2 holding the lead from laps 25-27. Pitbull4 would lose the draft on lap 27, similarly to KTIN3, having no real reason for losing it. Lepage71 would lead lap 28 and then be disconnected while still holding the lead. So it came down to the final lap. Elliot9matt, Efgordon, and GR8-1 were 3 wide for the lead beginning this last lap. The last 2 cars in the draft, Che2 & Viagra6car made their move to the low side as side-by-side battles were occuring for 2-5 spot. Off turn 2--Che2, Viagra6car, and RonnieM were on the low line with Elliot9matt, Kyle4445, and Efgordon on the high side. GR8-1 was the final car in the draft and just lingering at the back at this point. Che2 was going for the lead as Elliot9matt and Kyle4445 drifted down to the white line entering turn 3. Che2 & Viagra6car had nowhere to go when they got to the turn, and a huge wreck occured between them and Kyle4445, Efgordon, and RonnieM. As these cars all piled up, GR8-1 moved from 7th to 2nd position and made a run for the win. He made up several carlengths, but not quite enough to win. Elliot9matt won his 2nd consecutive All-Star Race, followed by GR8-1, RonnieM, Viagra6car, and Che2 completing the top 5. |
