The 10th race of the season's lineup was set randomly as there was no qualifying at the Baarlo track. Reef was handed the pole, with Viagra6car to his outside. After one lap, Reef pulled ahead with Lepage71 now into 2nd. Viagra6car dropped all the way back to 9th in just 2 laps, which would cost him on the following incident. Pitbull4, Efgordon, and prerace favorite KTIN3 got into a jam on lap 2...with KTIN3 losing control of his car and ending up going accross the track into Bear328's line. Bear lifted off the gas as expected, but Viagra6car didn't react quick enough, ending up in car #28's back bumper. The 6 sustained massive front spoiler damage, killing the handling for the remainder of the event. He would lose a lap and finish 9th. Reef would lead the first 2 laps, but Lepage71, G ROCK, and GR8-1 would go zooming by Reef on the 3rd lap. Points leader Efgordon was certainly on the move, after moving from 10th to 5th in these 3 laps. Three laps later, Ef would move ahead of Reef and GR8-1, meaning he was up to 3rd. Bear328 was also moving up, making it to 4th after 7 laps. A great battle occured on laps 8 through about lap 20 between two packs. Efgordon, GR8-1, and Bear328 would be in the leading pack--with Reef, KTIN3, and Pitbull4 in the other pack. Once the racing settled down inside those 6 cars, Efgordon was making his move to catch G ROCK for 2nd place. On lap 28, Ef got by G ROCK...with the leader Lepage71 not that far away. Bear328 was trying to hang with Efgordon, moving to 3rd. When the leaders got inside 5 to go, Efgordon was just a few carlengths from Lepage-while Bear328 fell back a bit in his 3rd position, which is where he finished. Lepage just kept it off the wall though and took his 2nd career win, with Efgordon finishing 2nd and pulling away a bit more in the points standings. All 10 starters finished the event. Next week the LCH league runs their first night event of the season at popular Lowe's Motor Speedway. |
