First race rookie Ffstbone007 got the lucky draw of starting on the pole Thursday night @ Big Track. A random starting order was in effect for race #15 of 22. Along side Ff was GR8-1. Ffstbone & Viagra6car pulled away just a bit on lap 1 as the battle for 3rd on back got interesting. Reef, GR8-1, and G ROCK were 3 wide into turn 3, and nearly started a big wreck. Fortunately, everyone made it out without any problems. But at the end of turn 4, Reef got a run on Viagra6car off the outside line and ran into the back of Car #60, meaning Reef's front spoiler was significantly damaged, killing the handling of his car. He would slowly drift back all the way to his last place finish. Last season's runner-up for the championship is in a severe need of a top finish. About all the cars spread out after the first few laps, with Ffstbone007 still out front. On lap 6, 2nd place runner Viagra6car bounced off the wall, dropping to 6th place...after Efgordon, Bear328, Lepage71, and GR8-1 got by. Lepage71 was definately the man on the move, going from last place (10) starting spot up to 4th in just 8 laps. He then went for 3rd in a great battle with Bear328 that lasted from lap 11 to lap 22, where Lepage finally took the spot and pulled away. Also on lap 11, another awesome battle started between GR8-1 and Viagra6car for 5th position. These 2 swapped positions 3-4 times before Viagra6car got into the wall again on lap 31. Efgordon was trying to run down leader Ffstbone007 as soon as he got by Viagra6car early on in the race. He got within 1 second of him into the final 10 laps, but couldn't get any closer as his tires appeared to be wearing out. Another main factor was that Ffstbone never made any type of large mistake to allow the #107 car catch up. Ffstbone007 becomes the 2nd driver ever to win the Feature in his first career start (Lepage71 being the 1st). Everyone in the top 4 in the standings were in the top 6 at the end of the race, so no big changes occured in the standings this week. With 8 races to go, 3 drivers have a very good chance to take the championship, but 5 drivers are still within reach, but barely. One other note is that Fat9fan had possible season-ending wrist surgery on this Monday. He would like to return in time for the Michigan race, but that is unknown at this time whether he will be there or not. Next up for the LCHers is The Rock.
