Lepage71 picked up his first career pole in the LCH series Thursday night in Bristol, with Reef starting outside of row 1. Early on, Lepage71 & GR8-1 held the lead without much of a challenge. The wrecks began on lap 8 when Kyle4445 hit the wall, then came back across the track and collected Viagra6car. Following that-Fat9fan, Bear328, and GR8-1 shared the lead as Lepage71, Reef, Efgordon, and Pitbull4 would all lose the lead draft while battling for position. When Lepage and Reef got back into the lead draft, G ROCK & Lepage got together, with G ROCK ending up in the wall and losing the draft...which caused Efgordon and Pitbull4 to lose the draft completely once again. On lap 16, a 2nd pack of cars started with Viagra6car, G ROCK, and Kyle4445. They stayed in line to gain all they could on the leaders. The lead pack was cut to 4 when Fat9fan, Bear, and Pitbull were battling on lap 26. Fortunately for Pitbull and Bear, they got back in the lead draft on lap 32...but Fat9fan would not and drift back into the V6, G, and Kyle drafting pack. Efgordon & Reef would each lose the draft on laps 40-41 in a near wreck. Kyle4445 would lose the draft in the 3rd pack on lap 49 and would eventually retire from the event because of it. The same would happen to G ROCK on lap 63, but he would complete the rest of the race and finish 9th. Another near-wreck up front on lap 65 when Lepage bounced off Pitbull, where only Pit would lose the draft. Bear328 made contact with GR8-1 on lap 76 and lost the lead draft as well. Reef would bounce off the wall on lap 76 also, which led to him falling into the pack of Viagra6car and Fat9fan on lap 80...but after ghosting for a short period, Reef would lose the draft alltogether and finish 8th. Only 2 cars were in the lead draft, Lepage71 and GR8-1; which there was no surprise to find out that these 2 led the most laps. A big pack was developing behind them though, including Bear, Efgordon, Pitbull, Viagra6car, and Fat9fan. Pitbull would make contact with Efgordon on lap 96 though and lose the draft. Just 5 laps later, points leader Efgordon made contact with Bear and lost the draft as well. Amazingly on lap 111, it became a 5 car lead draft. Viagra6car would move into the lead 10 laps later, but GR8-1 made his winning move to the inside of the 6 car the following lap. He held off Lepage71 by just keeping his car to the inside lane and making no mistakes while picking up his 2nd career win. Bear328 would finish 3rd in the race, gaining some points on Efgordon in the standings. Fat9fan fought a tough race and finished 4th, followed by Viagra6car. Pitbull4 held off Efgordon on the final lap and finished 6th. Nine of the ten cars that started the race completed it, which all of those 9 finished on the lead lap. Next up on the schedule is the fast 11 turn road course of Watkins Glen. |
