Viagra6car got an incredibly lucky break to win his 2nd race of the season Thursday in Charlotte. Every racer that started had a tough break of some sort, yet all racers led at least 1 lap. TommyW picked up his first career pole, as Reef was overthrown as the Q King @ Lowe's. The problems started about 5 laps in when Bear328 was walled by Reef, originally caused by KTIN3 starting a 3 wide. Efgordon hit the wall a couple laps later and lost the draft, as well as first race-starter Tech a couple laps after him. Crkfngr & LH8 would lose the draft as a result of side-by-side (seperate times) racing at the back of the pack close to halfway. The high line was in for 20+ laps and anyone that tried to go low would get no help, a sight to see. With about 10 laps to go Lepage71 & Viagra6car lost the draft due to V6's ghosting, but would regain it when the top 3 cars were battling for the lead. As the white flag waved Reef walled TommyW in a "lazy" move as Viagra6car moved to 2nd. Down the backstretch the 6 played the draft just right, following Reef's draft and pulling out just in front of a charging KTIN3. Viagra6car led off turn 4 as KTIN3 ran out of gas in 2nd place, allowing Reef & Lepage71 to move up a spot. The schedule is getting tough now with several short tracks upcoming and a road course in as well. Lepage71 leads with the top 4 seperated by exactly 100 points. |
