Efgordon took his seconds pole of the season with a decent run of 34.099 seconds, with Viagra6car to the outside of row 1. By the end of lap 1, Efgordon dropped back to 7th and Viagra6car dropped back to 9th-with Lepage71 taking the lead. On lap 2, Reef rode in the "median" of the Nascar Darlington line and the LCH line, getting the car sideways, which led Bear328 to run into him and put him up into the wall. Only Reef would lose the draft in the event. On lap 4, Jonnyboy273, starting his first career Feature Race, lost the lead draft and ended up finishing in 10th place. On lap 10, the big one happened. Aldog626 got into this "median" in turn 4, coming down into Pitbull4 & Fat9fan. Four cars lost the lead draft in the fiasco, including Viagra6car trying to avoid the wreck. Fat9fan, Aldog626, & Reef would hook up for positions 6-8, getting some good racing going towards the back of the pack. Just 2 laps later, G ROCK dropped back to help out the 6 car...as they started gaining on the three up front. Those 3 out in front were Efgordon, Lepage71, and Bear328. When Efgordon lost the lead draft due to ghosting, Viagra6car & G ROCK caught him quickly and were ready to hook up and make a run for the leaders. It became a 5 car pack on lap 31 with Bear328, Lepage71, Viagra6car, Efgordon, & G ROCK. When lap 34 came, the lapping process began. Lepage71 was to the inside of Efgordon off turn 4 as a lap car was in Ef's line. Lepage tried to move further down the track and give Ef more room, which caused him to knock Bear down and into the wall. After entering the race with the points lead and leading the most laps, Bear would finish 5th and lose the points lead. The lead would change many times, with the final time on 2 to go. Efgordon made his move to the inside of Lepage & G ROCK. Coming to the white flag, Lepage & V6 were nearly in a massive wreck, but V6 would save it. Efgordon had no problem blocking his opponents winning for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Lepage & V6 made a last turn move to take 2nd & 3rd, with G ROCK in 4th. |
