Ffstbone007 started on the pole @ IndyRC Thursday night, which turned out to be his 2nd domination race since he joined the league just a few weeks ago. Alongside Ff was G ROCK on the outside of row 1. G ROCK took the lead into turn 1 as Bear328, Lepage71, and Viagra6car got into a collision behind him. Viagra6car drifted back to 9th from it. Also in the first turn of the race, KTIN3 & GR8-1 bumped into each other, but they both carried on without losing much ground. These issues in turn 1 were anticipated all week and of course happened. Ffstbone would take the lead back on turn 11 of lap 1 and simply drove away from everyone else. At the end of lap 1, the top 5 were Ffstbone007, Lepage71, Bear328, G ROCK, then prerace favorite Pitbull4. The "King of the Road (Courses)," Viagra6car, was back up to 9th on lap 2 and was making his move. By lap 3 though, there were large gaps between all the cars. Into turn 1 of lap 5 though, Pitbull4, Viagra6car, and G ROCK were in a cluster. Pitbull tried a move on the inside of G into the turn, but got bumped by the 6 car when he got onto the brakes and ended up going through the grass. Pitbull dropped back to 6th as the 6 & 77 cars got by. Three main battles occured on lap 6. Bear328 would pass Lepage71 on this lap, as Viagra6car got by G ROCK at the same time. Efgordon also moved by Pitbull4 on lap 6 for 6th position. On lap 7, the biggest issue of the race occured. Bear328 got a bad run off turn 7 as Lepage & V6 passed by him, with G ROCK on his bumper for another position. Entering turn 9, V6C kept his pace at a higher rate than Lepage and got into the 71 car, supposedly rolling it over. In the same turn at the same exact time, Bear328 turned down into G ROCK and got rolled supposedly as well. Lepage continued on and kept his 5th position. Bear though ghosted for a moment when re-entering the track. Pitbull4 then ran into Bear as he reappeared. Pit would continue on and keep his 6th place, but Bear remained in the same spot of the track. Then as he again attempted to re-enter the track GR8-1 got loose off turn 10 and ran into Bear. Bear would run 1 more lap and retire because of the damage. He is still in the running for the championship in 3rd place. LH8 started near the back and never really got going, and would be the 2nd car to retire on lap 10, finishing 9th. After 8 laps the top 5 was-Ffstbone, V6C (about 15 seconds behind), G ROCK, Lepage71, and Efgordon. G ROCK was all over the back bumper of the 6 car and would get by him on lap 9. The Viagra Coupe was damaged much and decided to go into a little gas conservation mode just in case. On lap 13, the 7 car of Efgordon caught Lepage71 as they battled for 4th. This battle would only last a few laps though, as Lepage71 would pull away. GR8-1 & KTIN3 had a short battle for 7th on laps 17-19 before KT would pull away with the spot. Ffstbone007 dominated the entire race, leading every lap from the pole and won by an amazing 16+ seconds over G ROCK. Next week we are off to the short track New_River as 4 races remain on the schedule. |
