Again, Efgordon took the pole, making it 3 poles on the season for him. Starting along side him on row 1 again was Viagra6car. After 1 lap, Efgordon led by just inches over Lepage71, with Viagra6car going back to ninth. While back there, the 6 helped Bear328 regain the lead draft. The first close call of the night was on lap 5--when G ROCK, Pitbull4, and Viagra6car nearly lost the draft...but regained it on the following lap. The second close call was on lap 11--when Efgordon, Pitbull4, Bear328, Viagra6car, and first-race rookie KTIN3 lost the lead draft. After these 5 lost the draft, Viagra6car was nearly completely eliminated when Bear328 drifted into him on the backstretch, putting V6 in the wall. However though, this pack remained at 5 cars...and eventually catching back up on lap 16. This meant all 10 cars were still in the lead draft at the halfway point. On lap 20, the 6 car was into the wall again, this time on his own...but again hung onto the draft. The lead changed up front many times during the 38 laps, with Lepage71, Reef, GR8-1, Efgordon, G ROCK, Fat9fan, and KTIN3 all leading at least one lap. After Viagra6car stayed in the back of the pack the whole race, he made his move on lap 34. He went from 7th to 2nd in 2 laps and was looking for the lead. On lap 36, he was to the inside of Reef when apparent warp of Reef put 6 on the apron...causing him to then drift back up the track and back to 4th. With 2 to go, the 6 was there again trying to make a move. With a push from KTIN3, Viagra6car was to the inside of Reef again when the 51 car cut him off...putting him on the apron again and back to 7th. On the final lap, Efgordon had the lead when GR8-1 just barely stuck his nose inside of car 599 entering turn 3. Off turn 4, Lepage71 made it three wide looking for the win. But as always, the inside line was faster, and GR8-1 won his first career race. Back in the pack, Bear bounced off the apron and nearly spun...collecting Viagra6car as they would finish 9th & 10th. Efgordon now has a large lead of 61 points as the LCH gang heads to Baarlo, Holland next week. |
