NO HEAT RACE

*All advance to Feature*

Viagra6car picked up his 4th consecutive pole Thursday night, keeping his front-row starting streak alive--now at 5 races (races only where qualifying was done).  Bear328 took outside row 1 with a surprising qualifying run.  This was the smallest field since Davenport in Season 2, 25 races ago.
As it should be, tons of passing and great racing took place early on.  Lead changes occured on each of the first 10 laps, before Reef would consistently lead laps 10-12.  LH8 unfortunately though was lost in that draft on lap 7 just from getting out of line briefly.  He would retire around 10 laps later.
Likely the best race to this point in Season 3, the Kansas race featured 28 official lead changes among 7 drivers and very few close calls.  Reef led the most laps, with 10.  Polesitter Viagra6car and Kyle4445 each led 6 laps.  Bear328, Lepage71, and Crkfngr each led 5 laps...Crk's first laps led in the series and definately his best race so far.  G ROCK was the other leader, for 1 lap, his first lap led this season.
Dhib8 and G ROCK both lost the lead draft though as about 8 laps remained in the 38 lap event.  The apparent cause for the losing of the draft was a tight condition from using the bumper too much and damaging the car.
It was getting real crazy up front starting with about 5 laps to go.  Cars were going all over trying to set up for the final run to the checkered flag.  Six cars remained in the lead draft and each one had a great chance at the win.  Kyle4445 took the lead at the white flag and led the pack off turn 2, as Lepage71 & Viagra6car hooked up down the backstretch.  Kyle threw a block into turn 3, causing a major jam in the 6 car pack.  The 71 would slow, as well as the 6 car, which was then hit by Bear328--pushing him into the 71.  Bear would end up on the apron and be hit by Crkfngr, putting both up the track with Reef & Viagra6car still outside them.  Kyle would cross the line first, followed by Crk, Bear, Lepage, Reef, and V6...but the end of the race was rerun.  Kyle was placed back to 6th, the last car in the lead pack.  The official results were Lepage71 taking his 2nd consecutive win, followed by Viagra6car, Reef, Crkfngr, and Bear328.
Second and 3rd in points Efgordon & KTIN3 both missed the race, so the 71's point lead is now a blazing 93 points over Efgordon.  Fifth place Reef is 4 points ahead of Dhib8, who is 1 point ahead of Viagra6car.  Some points battles are heating up as the LCH gang heads to Chicagoland next week for their first visit ever there.
