NO HEAT RACE

*All advance to Feature*

7 was the lucky # this week @ Las Vegas as Efgordon got his 3rd career win and 1st since switching to the #7 Hooters car.  Efgordon came from the 13th starting position to the point by passing TommyW in turn 3 of the last lap and used every inch of the apron to block Tom for the win.  Following not so closely in 3rd was the new points leader Lepage71.  Lepage saw his chances for a win shrink dramatically on the last lap due to multiple attempts at 4-wide drafting and the rookie Nexxell using the apron to complete a pass.  Fortunately Lepage was able to keep his cool and bring his car back to 3rd at the finish line and take the points lead.  Kyle4445 finished 4th and was also a victim of some aggressive 4-wide drafting, costing him a shot at the win.  The NHRL Daytona winner sits tied for 8th in the standings guaranteeing himself another start in next week's Feature.  LCH veteran KTIN3 finished 5th and sits a measly 22 points out of the lead.  California winner Nexxell finished a respectable 6th, and falls to 3rd in the points, just 7 points behind the leader.  Most agree that being 7 points back after being penalized 2 out of 3 races that this rookie is for real, yet others are just waiting to show this racer a thing or two on some of the LCHRL's more difficult tracks.  Another LCH veteran and original league competitor Raines74 finished 7th and appears to have shaken off the rust from the surgery that ended his championship run of Season 2.  Raines is now tied for 8th in the points, putting him in the Feature as well.  Dhib8 followed up his win at Dover with another solid run, finishing 8th having his car in contention all day until getting mixed up in the 4-wide deals at the end.  Dhib, like Nexxell has shown strong drafting skills and has put himself in great position heading towards the tougher tracks.  Only time will tell if Dhib8 has the total package and can contend for the title.  Bear328 finished 9th, and vowed to never let his wife drive shotgun again.  The biggest (but not only) reason for the lap 40 madness landed squarely on this dirt track legend's shoulders prompting a widely accepted apology and an equally accepted 5 point penalty.  Season 1 Vegas winner Viagra6car rounds out the top 10.  For the 2nd week in a row the 6 car starts on the pole only to lose the draft by no fault of his own.  For the 1st time since Heats were needed, the 6 will have to qualify to race in the Feature.  With a record 14 poles in 44 feature starts and 3 wins to his credit, it's only a matter of time before the 6 car is right back in the hunt where he should be.  NHRL Busch Series points leader Haulinace007 finished 11th followed by LH8 in the 12th position and Crkfngr in 13th position.  All of these cars along with Viagra6car lost the draft early and never had a chance to show their stuff.  Finishing 14th was yet another LCH veteran Reef, who's ghosting problems continue to haunt him.  Reef will also be racing in the Heats if needed now due to his unusual slow start.  Get ready for some real mud slinging now racers!  Week 4 marks the start of several weeks of tough tracks to tame starting with the Davenport Speedway.  The 1/2 mile dirt track should produce plenty of great racing.
