Efgordon thought he used up all his luck in the prerace warm-up. He ran a Q lap in the 20.1 second bracket, his fastest of the week. When he ran 20.533 and got the pole in the Feature, it was a big shock. Five cars qualified within a tenth of a second of him. Viagra6car started 5th and was determined to show that there was no curse that came with his Prerace Favorite Award. He was nearly in a wreck with Catch22 in the 1st turn of the race, but hung on and moved up to 4th on lap 1. Back in the pack, GR8-1 & Raminrdixin had a collision in turn 3 of the 1st lap...which led to Ram retiring from the damage on lap 2. Reef & Viagra6car began a battle on lap 4...as Efgordon would pull away by about 2 seconds. Eventually the 6 car would move by the specially painted car 421 driven by Reef and try to reel in the 599 car of Efgordon. Although Reef lost a position to Viagra6car and a lot of ground on him afterwards, he pulled away from the rest of the pack by several seconds. Catch22 & GR8-1 were in a great battle for 5th for about 20 laps, but GR8-1 would finally clear Catch22 and pull away. Fat9fan had computer issues and retired on lap 24 as he was being lapped. He drops to 5th in the standings after this week. At the halfway point, Efgordon had still led every lap, and held a one second lead on the 6. Efgordon narrowly escaped Pitbull4 hitting the wall on lap 58 right in front of him. With 6 laps left, he led by 1.2 seconds. Five to go-0.7 seconds; Four to go-0.4 seconds; Three to go-0.2 seconds; Two to go-0.1 seconds! The 6 tried to make a move to the inside coming to the white flag, which included using the bumper on Ef...as they approached a lap car of Bear328. Viagra6car dropped back to get a run, but it did not work and Efgordon won his 1st career race! That makes five first time winners in six races! Who will it be next week? |
