FYI: A new feature request was made by Grumpy for the forums and has been developed and implemented. Any time an existing post is edited by the user or moderator the topic will be marked unread once again. Users following the topic will NOT receive an email about the edit as they normally would for a new post in the topic, but the topic itself will display as unread on your next visit to the forum. A couple moderators have a habit of editing old posts that they probably shouldn't be so this will help users follow conversations that might actually be changing since your last visit in areas that you thought you had already read.
