2019-20 LCHRL Legend Car Series Announced, Racing Begins November 30th

Season XIX of the LCHRL is set to roll. A revamped schedule that includes twelve first-time tracks, tire wear for the first time, and a new championship format will only add to the existing excitement that this mod brings each season. Of additional note from that schedule includes a secret location on January 9th at a track still being developed.

Beginning on Saturday 11/30, drivers will have a shot to get re-acclimated with the cars in an exhibition race at Stuntrack. From there the series shifts to its time slot of the past on Thursday evenings. A mix of draft, short, dirt, and road/street courses will challenge every type of driver and could open the door for some new winners. As usual, the series will run identical setups in the race and have open setup qualifying.

Proposed new rules will not permit drivers to change tires at stage breaks, which will ONLY take place at draft races. Pit stops will still be available for damage repair to keep the field within range of the front. Adding to the competition will be a “NASCAR line” rule returning from the past which will not allow drivers to ride the bottom line on the straights and encourage a significant amount of lead changes. Short tracks will be about tire management with the introduction of wear factor that could see comers and goers as the race progresses. Two doubleheader race nights will include a field inversion from race #1 to race #2!

Ten points races will set the field of four in the February 13th triple-header championship night which features three different types of tracks. This title night will feature the usual point structure that includes bonus points and will be a cumulative total to determine the champion.

The series will be running in Expert mode with fixed setups. Wear Factor varies from 1x to 4x. All races will be in the LCH mod. Six championships will be up for grabs - drivers will be competing for the overall driver, paved, dirt, oval, road and team championships.

We will be racing Thursday evenings at 8:30pm ET. Drivers are allowed five custom paints and are permitted two provisionals during the season. We welcome racers of all skill levels and racing backgrounds.
