These races have become a derby fest. People are diving into the corners without any regard for who is on the outside knowing they are not going to be able to control their car. If there are no penalties for Atlanta then i am going to start driving like a few other drivers and make it a TRUE derby fest. If there is not going to be any consequences for taking some one out with over aggressive RECKLESS driving (which by the way admins is Illegal by your rules) who is about to place fourth then there are no rules. << Edited on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:43pm EST. >> |

You're obviously right about this year's races being wreckfests so far. Drivers aren't paying attention to their surroundings and keep attempting to block people who have position on them (something that has been happening in normal mode for many, many years). I don't know why this is happening in hardcore mode so much now though. As for penalties, no Cup races are finished being reviewed yet, so that's why there aren't any penalties for this year's races yet. The reviewers have very busy lives and review races as fast as they can. Also the rules were slightly relaxed this year to make the reviewer's lives easier. But there are still many incidents that have happened in the past race or two that probably should be penalized, even according to the new rules. The reviewers also can't catch everything and sometimes miss things, so if you see someone do something that you think should be penalized, please report it here. Once you make a report, you know the reviewers see it and they will discuss whether or not the person in question deserves a penalty. Everyone always complains but no one ever reports anyone. |

Yes last nights race was very frustrating to mostly everyone. Amidst all the chaos and upheaval I'd keep in mind that we want cautions to be a part of our races and the admins who are also racing at the same time as admining have an impossible job and are under appreciated. We as drivers need to do a better job at reviewing our own replays and relaying incidents to admins in a timely fashion. I know I'm guilty of waiting for penalties for weeks and then pouncing on the admins for missing something or not seeing an incident my way. I'm going to try and review my own replays and report incidents to admins in a timely fashion so they can look for them and hopefully help them zip thru reviews faster. That being said yes there were more than a few moves by drivers last night that just were too aggressive. Remember not to give more than you can take. And whatever you do don't quit because someone calls you out. It's all part of it. |
