Comments on either? Setups fine?

I think Badlands was great and could be a future title night track with more competitors. Kaikoura was good until we found you can get stuck. Only some of us don't have rabbits to shoo away from cords mid-race.

Badlands absolutely needs to be on the schedule again. I think the setup worked pretty well as it allowed people to experiment and run different lines. It felt like a tiny dirt Darlington.

Kaikoura I was not a fan of, I don't think it made for very competitive racing. The possibility of getting stuck in the ditch on the last corner puts it solidly in the do not use pile for me, ignoring the fact that I didn't do very well.

After trying out both tracks even though I didn't race in them I say Yes to Badlands and a No to Kaikoura. The set up at Kaikoura seemed really loose to me.

Badlands was a blast. Multiple grooves and interesting textures. Set up was pretty much spot on...maybe a little tight is all.

Kaikura...challenging and was fun, tough to pass and the ditch sure lends it's own set of issues. P2 and led for a while would make it easy for me to say keep it, but it's only a whisker better than rally grip IMO, so ditch it.

Badlands was great. Kikkoman Soy Sauce or whatever it was called wasn't terrible. I think it could be good with people having more laps around it. There was just not much room for error there near that ditch and unfortunately three of us made them. I was lucky to not catch the ditch, but the grass around it had no grip so you had to spin tires and try to keep the car in control to get out out it, without going in the ditch. I did that twice.

Yes I wanted the setup to be a little tight for running the low line or else it would have been considerably faster than the high side.

Wait until you try Rally this week if you're new to it. You got a slight prep from Kaikoura.

But I see a theme to that track...as displayed from the results image not yet posted:

So few people will know how Badlands went and only see I led every lap. In all the practices we were 4-5 wide and getting mega runs for slingshot passes. I'm guessing you'll be working for all the season's events?

I had labeled Kaikoura as a survival race. Plus the schedule needs some surprises and challenges.

The only thing not pictured is cars stuck in the ditch

I intended to use that but nothing looked so great visually. It was a fluke that I found 3 airborne cars simultaneously, so I had to go for that.

My favorite airborne moment was being on top of yours and Lepage's roofs at the start.

I thought both places were good.

I get the issues with the ditch at Kaikoura. But I like its uniqueness. It's like a short track road course. I had no problems!
