Speedyman11 set the pace for the modifieds at Newburg Speedway Sunday night after starting in the 5th position. Capturing both the fastest lap and most laps led awards, Speedy walked away with the heat win. puttzracer started in the 2nd position and finished in the same spot after leading 5 laps. KartRacer63 led 10 laps before falling to the 3rd position after an incident with a lapped car. BlackKnight finished 4th and Grumpy finished in the 5th position.
With the field inverted for the start of the feature race, Breeze and Grumpy started on the front row with BlackKnight and KartRacer63 in the second row. Breeze led the first lap of racing before being passed by BlackKnight who led 13 laps. puttzracer then took the lead for 14 laps until he was run down and passed by Speedy who led the remaining 112 laps of the 140 scheduled for the event and earned the feature victory. The top 5 finishers were Speedyman11, puttzracer, BlackKnight, KartRacer63 and Grumpy.
