BlackKnight Captures First ARL Victory, Sweeping Lassiter

The ARL Home Pro Modified's rolled onto Lassiter Speedway Sunday night with only three competitors. DusterLag competed in both races and both he and Grumpy seemed to have figured something out at the start of the heat race, but as the race progressed BlackKnight was the car to beat. BlackKnight started the heat race from the pole after a random starting grid and never looked back leading all 58 laps. BK also captured the fastest lap award with 17.982 second lap. DusterLag finished in the second spot while Grumpy finished third.

With the field inverted for the feature. Grumpy started on the pole with Duster on the outside. Duster did some changes to his setup that went horribly wrong and retired after running only 7 laps. Grumpy led the first 3 laps. trying hard to hold off BlackKnight. On lap four BlackKnight managed to take the lead, leading the final 113 laps. BK earned the most laps led award and fastest lap award with a lap of 17.770. After the race BlackKnight told reporters... "I got lucky tonight and picked the right setup. The car handled fantastic and everything just seemed to go my way. In the feature I have to say Grumpy did a great job at the start to make his car hard to pass but we finally got by him and ran away".

The next stop for the Home Pro Series Vintage Modifieds will be at The Bullring, 1/2 Mile Dirt Short Track! Join us on Sunday, June 12th - racing starts at 9pm ET, 1:00 UTC.
