On August 3, the Cup Series cruised into Watkins Glen for the tenth race of the 2018 campaign. All that happened was a spectacle beyond what anyone could imagine. Defeating a flurry of contestants, Speedyman11 drove to a well-deserved win with the aid of patient techniques, leading 26 of 34 laps and topping lepage71 by 1.2 seconds. En route to finishing second, lepage71 led two laps of his own to put up a close battle for the trophy. In a fine effort, ltfireman grabbed the third finishing position, crossing the finish 13.4 seconds behind Speedyman11. A few paces back, Jes Rathbun and Bandit were not to be forgotten either, locking down fourth and fifth to fill out the top-five. The victory, Speedyman11's seventh of the season, strengthens his buffer over lepage71 in the standings to 20 points. In its next event, the Cup Series heads to Talladega in what promises to be another shootout.
