SUPRS 2018-19 Wing Supermodified Season Announced

With the recent announcement of SUPRS going to a public server for NASCAR Heat, and now the release of the wing supermodifieds for Heat - SUPRS W v6 mod, here's a some more details for anyone that may be interested in racing a supermodified with SUPRS...

SUPRS Specifics

Our mods were designed to run in Normal mode with no extra damage or wear.
These cars are open cockpit, open wheel, offset roadsters and the only thing SUPRS races.
There are no pitstops.
Maximum 20 car starting fields.
If you don't have a paint in the game, (most of you won't for a while-we are working on that), the Race Director will assign one to you so there are no duplicates.
Most nights there are time trials, (Race Director sends drivers out one at a time and calls flags), heat races and a feature ranging in laps from 25-100 laps in length.
Most of our races, including NASCAR Heat are streamed live on SUPRS.net/site/live.
Minimum age to join SUPRS is 16 years old.
Please read the Rules carefully. You must agree to our racing rules and Mission Statement as well as site usage rules to race with us.
Racing numbers are registered on a first come first serve basis. See what numbers are available on the chart, (suprs.net/site/about/join-us/#Numbers), on the Join Page before filling out the join form.
Drivers with less than four previous races with SUPRS will start at tail regardless of handicap or qualifying position, (we may wave this based on what we see in practice)
SUPRS requires the use of TeamSpeak3 for race night communications. All racers must have working mic and speakers/headset.
SUPRS is a family oriented sanction. We do not ever allow swearing in our race server or TeamSpeak.

SUPRS Schedule

Duster is working to get SUPRS NASCAR Heat events posted to the community calendar. There's about 14 of them total as part of SUPRS 15th Anniversary, 46 race season. There's no special treatment of SUPRS Gold Crest Members over Silver Crest. Regardless of whether you run one race with SUPRS or the whole season of Heat or become a member and run Heat and rFactor, the rules are the same for everyone and the format is the same for everyone on each given night of the schedule. The only exception to that may be the "4 race rule" for new guys.

SUPRS races most Tuesday evenings with practice for each event starting between 8:00 and 8:15 pm, Drivers Meeting at 8:30 pm and Racing at 9:00 pm. For bigger shows including swings we often start earlier.

The first race of the season is a NASCAR Heat show October 2 at LaPorte Speedway. I've attached the NASCAR Heat specific schedule for anyone that is interested. Also the full schedule release story is on the front page of SUPRS website for a few more details.

Here's a vid from last years Harvest of Speed at LaPorte:

Our race calendar is currently only on SUPRS.net but that will soon change thanks to Duster and it will also be located here. There's also listings on the same calendar for real supermodified races.

THANKS

Thanks to DaveO, SUPRS W v6 for NASCAR Heat is now up on TMS site for everyone.

I hope this isn't too long, or boring, or too formal. All of us at SUPRS are trying hard to ease into this process and don't want to offend anyone in the community. We've been a "Members" only sanction for so long, there's a lot of behind the scenes work that had to be done and is still being done right up to the start of the season to make all of the NASCAR Heat stuff easily accessible to all of you.

None of this would have been possible without DusterLag and DaveO. They have worked their tails off to show us the best way to go about the process. I have to also thank SUPRS Members Rob Warren and Kevin Timmins for what they have done with the server, race broadcast, and graphics. Also, Grumpy and BlackKnight because they've kept it real and encouraged SUPRS to move in this direction while staying true to our roots and Mission Statement.

PLEASE don't hesitate to ask any questions about all of this here, in PM here or via SUPRS Contact Page.

Thanks everyone for your interest in SUPRS!
