On October 19, the Busch Series traveled to California for the eighth meeting of the 2018 campaign. What ensued was another entertaining performance for the ages. Defeating a flurry of contestants, lepage71 drove to a well-deserved win with the aid of patient techniques, leading 37 of 72 laps and besting Speedyman11 by 0.7 seconds. En route to finishing second, Speedyman11 led 25 laps of his own to burnish a serious battle for the trophy. In a fine effort, BlackKnight laid claim to the bronze medal, crossing the finish 8.3 seconds behind lepage71. No slowpokes, Redimuss and Jes Rathbun were also significant factors, locking down fourth and fifth to fill out the top-five. The victory, lepage71's second of the season, closes his gap behind leader Speedyman11 in the standings to 18 points. In its next event, the Busch Series heads to Mexico2007 in what promises to be another shootout.
