On March 15, the Cup Series strolled into California for the opening stage of the 2019 season. All that happened was a highly exciting race filled with storylines. Holding off a bevy of contestants, lepage71 drove to a well-deserved win with the aid of patient techniques, leading 32 of 71 laps and outdistancing Speedyman11 by 0.1 seconds. En route to finishing second, Speedyman11 led 34 laps of his own to harbor a close battle for the trophy. In a fine effort, d3efan claimed the third-place position, crossing the finish 1.0 seconds behind lepage71. A few paces back, Jes Rathbun and Bandit were not to be forgotten either, locking down fourth and fifth to fill out the top-five. The victory sets lepage71 just 0 points behind in the initial standings. In its next event, the Cup Series heads to Mexico2007 in what promises to be another shootout.
