On June 14, the drivers of the Cup Series flocked to Phoenix for the 11th round of the 2019 season. To no one's surprise, the resulting fun and excitement hit soaring heights. Amid a frenzy of competitors, Speedyman11 took the checkered flag using smart strategy, leading 67 of 104 laps and edging lepage71 by 7.8 seconds. En route to second-place, lepage71 led 37 laps of his own to put up a thrilling challenge for the title. In an impressive effort, d3efan took the final step on the podium, reaching the line 7.8 seconds behind Speedyman11. Trailing them, Bandit and Jes Rathbun were not to be overlooked either, finishing fourth and fifth to round out the top-five. The victory, Speedyman11's seventh of the season, increases his lead over lepage71 in the standings to 24 points. In its next event, the Cup Series heads to Sonoma Carousel in what promises to be another shootout.
