SUPRS Set for "The Whistler" NASCAR Heat Supermodified Race

August 4, 2019 – Goshen, IN…The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), continues to wind down their summer, non-wing supermodified sim racing season with the 15th running of “The Whistler” Pete Trenca Memorial set to take place on August 6, 2019 at Oswego Speedway.

Race Honors Non-Racing Legend

The race honors Peter “Program” Trenca who was a fixture at the Oswego Speedway selling programs for over five decades before his passing in 2004. Trenca was also an integral and founding member of The Eagles Fan Club at Oswego Speedway. Pete could always be counted on for lifting the spirits of every fan that passed through the gates of “The Home of the Supermodifieds” with his distinctive whistle, and cheerful welcome.

Trying to Stop SpeedyMan

Former winners, Carl Becker, Keith Powell, and Rob Warren, along with a host of other SUPRS racers, will be trying to stop SpeedyMan, who’s been on a hot streak of late. SpeedyMan has won the last three races in a row to put his SUPRS non-wing season win total at five, and just last week won the coveted Mr. Online Supermodified Cup presented by 1st to Finish Race Servers.

His run of wins and bonus points accumulated over the last three races, has put him hot the heals of SUPRS Gold Crest Wing Supermodified Championship points leader Rob Warren and within striking distance of his first SUPRS championship.
