Speedyman11 Makes a Precise Move to Win the LCHRL Season Opener

The green flag is out for LCHRL season number nineteen. New rules opened up the ability to make slingshot passes and featured more lead changes.

KartRacer63 made his points-paying racing return by starting from pole over lepage71. After things settled down from the early four-wide racing, a lead pack of lepage71-Speedy-Bandit-V6 distanced themselves from the other competitors. Picking up stage points were lepage71 (1st), Speedyman11 (2nd), and Bandit (3rd).

Several drivers took advantage of the ability for damage-repair pit stops at the segment break that would jumble the restart order. Another wild period ensued on the restart which allowed another breakaway for Lepage-Speedy-Bandit-Kart. Single-file racing in this front pack took place until entering turn 3 of lap 49 when Speedy made his move to the inside as Bandit followed him through. Lepage tried to build up a run for a rebound coming back to the checkers, but time would not allow it.

Top 5 finishers included Speedyman11, Bandit, lepage71, viagra6car, and Grumpy. Six of nine drivers were able to lead a lap with Lepage leading the most at 34.

Next on the schedule will be the short track of Montgomery on 12/12. This will be the first race with wear factor/tire management introduced and will be an exciting show!
