On January 10, the Truck Series traveled to Martinsville for the opening meeting of the 2020 campaign. As expected, the level of action and drama did not disappoint. Overcoming a party of pursuers, Speedyman11 drove to a convincing win through a speedy machine, leading 111 of 127 laps and edging Rookiesrock by 3.7 seconds. En route to second-place, Rookiesrock led two laps of his own to put up a serious competition for the hardware. In a fine bid, Bandit claimed the final step on the podium, coming to the finish 3.7 seconds behind Speedyman11. Not to be overlooked, lepage71 and viagra6trck were no slouches either, registering fourth and fifth to wrap up the top-five. The victory sets Rookiesrock just 1 point behind Speedyman11 in the initial standings. In its next event, the Truck Series heads to Darlington in what promises to be another shootout.
