On January 17, the Truck Series thundered into Darlington for the second leg of the 2020 season. All that happened was another exciting, big-league performance. Holding off a bevy of contestants, Rookiesrock drove to a well-deserved win with the aid of patient techniques, leading 30 of 86 laps and trumping Speedyman11 by 0.3 seconds. En route to finishing second, Speedyman11 led 34 laps of his own to fuel a daring battle for the trophy. In a fine effort, d3efan sped to the third-place position, crossing the finish 0.3 seconds behind Rookiesrock. No slowpokes, Bandit and BlackKnight were also significant factors, locking down fourth and fifth to fill out the top-five. The victory, Rookiesrock's first of the season, closes his gap behind leader Speedyman11 in the standings to five points. In its next event, the Truck Series heads to Sonoma Carousel in what promises to be another shootout.
