On August 7, the Busch Series thundered into Michigan for the opening leg of the 2020 campaign. All that happened was a spectacle beyond what anyone could imagine. Defeating a flurry of contestants, Speedyman11 drove to a well-deserved win with the aid of patient techniques, leading 57 of 64 laps and trumping lepage71 by 18.0 seconds. En route to finishing second, lepage71 led one lap of his own to fuel a daring battle for the trophy. In a fine effort, CR49 sped to the third-place position, crossing the finish 18.0 seconds behind Speedyman11. No slowpokes, Bandit and d3efan were also significant factors, locking down fourth and fifth to fill out the top-five. The victory sets lepage71 just 1 point behind Speedyman11 in the initial standings. In its next event, the Busch Series heads to Sonoma Carousel in what promises to be another shootout.
