Paint HELP!!!!!!!!! just a red car in game |

!st time trying to paint in Heat and it's not working! Have painted DTR,DTR2 nr2003 and many others but do not understand this process I guess! HMSlatesports is the mod I'm working in this is how I have it set up in driver and backup driver files. table Driver number 78 name dmell chassis 76Cam rank 4 race_image 100 body_style pcar wheel_basename rrgtire end Painted car in paintshop and saved it as dmell.tga, dmell.img both in the paint folder within the mod. copied and renamed paint0.tex and renamed it dmell.tex same with head0.cvs file. Not familiar with the mod. Here is a basic way to install paints into any NASCAR Heat mod. 1. If using a psd template save as a TGA file. example: Grumpy.TGA 2. You will need to convert the TGA into a car###.tex. Example: car15.tex. This can be done by using either the NH2 mod launcher or the WinRes Tool Wizard. The car tex name is usually the number of the car you are adding. Be careful not to choose a number of a car that is already in the game. Example you wanted 24. If there is a 24 ingame you will need to choose 124, 224, ect. To see your paint in the game. 3. Depending on how you choose to convert psd to a tga will determine how you install the drivers info. A. If you are using NH2 Mod launcher it will convert a tga into a car tex and place the car tex in the mod folder. B. If you are using the WinRes Tool Wizard you will need to place the car text into the mod folder and edit the drivers text. (Be carefull when editing, one simple mistake can cause you hours of torture. Lol. Thanks. I went through the launcher as described and still no luck.....I checked the tga and it is 24bit uncompressed I was hoping maybe that was my problem. |

Thanks! Not sure exactly how but I got it! not sure what I did to make it work moved a couple items into the Paintempdir and may have did something else also and suddenly there it is in the game! not sure how to post a pic of it or I'd show it! |

Use the PrtSc key to take a screenshot when on track, Ctrl + V on a new canvas in your paint program and the image should appear. - Bandit

Thanks Bandit I meant I do not follow how to post the pic on here. "https://heatfinder.net/images/users/mellendorf78/" comes up when I pic image I do not see a choice to locate the file. Or do that paste command to post it |

Hover your mouse over your profile name in the top right corner and click on "My Images" in the drop down menu. Once there, upload your image to the site than open the image in a new tab. Copy and past that URL to where it says "https://heatfinder.net/images/users/mellendorf78/" when given the prompt to upload a image. - Bandit

Bandit when I hover the mouse I get my name/server/ messaging/ support help/ account/ logout I do not see a "my images" option. |

Click "Attachment" then browse for the image, instead of "Image" when writing a reply. |

Thanks everyone for all your help!!!! I think I have the painting and adding to the game is working! Issues with that 1st mod with the camaros (existing cars all turned red in game) (and lost all of them when tried to make a car list) may have to reinstall? BUT made a Late Model and it all worked perfect!
