Hey Guys,

I'm working on a brand new Truck mod for Heat. I would like to know, do you guys prefer a stand alone mod or a Gen 6 addon truck mod, kinda like the Classic late model mod was? Be honest, wanna know what the community wants. This will also help me with some other things that I have in development for Heat as well.

Thanks in advance for any type of constructive criticism going forward.

p.s. Do you guys still like the old CTS mod's physics the best?

I'd prefer it to be a stand alone mod, I'm not much a fan of having to swap carsets and make sure everything is backed up so you don't lose anything and have to do it again when you want to switch back. There are also issues sometimes where guys are in the wrong carsets and get confused as to what they need to do. I feel like a stand alone would be a little more streamlined for everyone.

As far as physics, I don't even remember how the platinum trucks drive so I'll let others give an opinion on that.

Like what GTS said, it might be better as a standalone mod. But personally, it doesn't matter to me.

The physics of the old HC CTS mod were of course great, but it might be best to try something different and maybe a bit more realistic, but I've never driven a CWTS truck so honestly I have no idea. The G1 truck physics were okay, but they felt odd, can't really describe it.

Just my two cents.

Having been here from the beginning of the G3 mod I am ok with it being a add on carset. As for the new fan, player or racer it seems to be a challenge for most to get the G3 carset to work because of all the add-ons they would have to install just to get to the new Truck mod. Some may not want to download the 2012 Sprint cup set etc.

As far as the physics go for the new truck mod, I would like to see them based on the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series if that is possible.

This is just my opinion of course.

Might be time for a G4 multimod set with all the G3 expansions there are. I wouldn't mind either a standalone mod or another G3 set. It might be better to do a standalone mod because there can't be a whole lot of numbers left to be used in G3.

Dido, perfectly stated GTS.

I like the idea of having mod "families" but they should still be broken up into different mods and carsets should return to being exactly that, carsets (same models, different paints). Maybe you could start doing something like naming the mod "PlatinumTrucks15" and "PlatinumCup14" or "G3Trucks15", ect, ect.

As for physics, definitely stay away from the G1 Truck physics. The old HC CTS physics are good but I think we're in need of updated physics that include all the changes since 2001! lol

Thanks everyone for taken the time, for posting your thoughts and ideas on this matter..

Will be going the way of it being a stand alone mod, plus brand new physics for the mod, so it reflects the newer trucks in Nascar..

Also the name of the mod will be CWS2015 aka Camping World Series

Thanks for your input, this is what makes the Heat community so great!! The people that are part of the community!!
