has anyone ever looked at the problem jrich was having with his game? sounds exactly like what has happened to me a couple times. you're driving along then the screen goes black, but the game is still running in the background. it first happened to me a year ago during a home pro race, then it happened during a T-bone race this spring. those times the screen would blackout for less than a second or so, but would do it at random all during the race. but last night while running some laps, it did it and stayed black. I could hear the game going on but I had to escape out and then it went back to my desktop.
has this ever happened to anyone else? if so, did you find the cure?

I have never experienced this issue, in-fact this is the first time I have ever heard of such an issue.

Based on what you've posted, it sounds like a graphics card issue and unrelated to anything Heat can do itself.

Have you tried minimizing the game to the desktop and bringing it back up?

at first, I thought it was my monitor. but when I got out of the game, it was fine. plus the blinking shows in the replay as well. then I thought about the graphics card it's a radeon hd 7560d built into an amd quad core cpu. when I test it, it scores a 7.3 out of a possible 7.9. I could clock it a bit, but I don't like to do that.
when it happened before I was in the g3 and I turned the effects level down one click and it hasn't happened since. when it happened the other night, I was in the trucks and when I looked I had the effects level all the way up. so I knocked that back a click. so we shall see. it happens so seldom and quickly, it's hard to put a handle on it.
thanks
