Effective immediately we've altered pitting procedure rules.... - Generally drivers may now enter pit road directly off of the track, drivers will not be required to travel the length of the apron from the back-stretch. This can be altered during pre-race guidelines if necessary at a particular track such as the access road at Miami. Drivers will still be required to utilize the apron for exiting where available. - New: Drivers must attempt to travel pit road single-file in the lane opposite of pit boxes. Sadly due to the re-occurrence of a pit road incident related to this that we hoped would not happen again - we must implement this rule. It will be the same initial pit violation penalty (-1 Point per, Rear Grid Start). |
