HeatFinder has always been about enabling and promoting an open community, dedicated to the racer. I would like to correct a couple lies that have spread a bit in the community.. 1) HeatFinder's Internet Race Finder 2 updater service does not query your NASCAR Heat Server every 10 seconds when a user is viewing the HeatFinder Server Listing (via our Homepage or Server Listing App). Server query's are performed by the HeatFinder Web Server only and can not be initiated by any user visiting our listing. The 10 second count down you see on the server listing is simply a countdown to when the information from the HeatFinder Web Server is updated on your client (the information you see). This does not necessarily mean there is new information being sent to you. 2) HeatFinder's Internet Race Finder 2 updater service does not cause lag to your NASCAR Heat Server. The "demand" placed on your server is significantly and exponentially less than the "demand" required from a single user being connected to your NASCAR Heat Server. Simply put, we do not cause lag to your server as others claim. 3) The recently announced "HIRF2" website and "AIRF" app are NOT associated with HeatFinder or our IRF2 service in any way. We do not provide support for or endorse either. We encourage HeatFinder Members to contact us with any questions. << Edited on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 11:40am EST. >> |
