I was practicing offline @ G3-Sonoma_SP in normal mode with just 8 Ai cars ,myself being the 9th,and when pitting (to the rightside pits located to the inside of the track) after tires and gas,i would get a 14-15 second "lane penalty". At 1st I thought it was because i ran thru the #10 stall to get to mine,but i got the penalty again,when i pitted without going thru stall #10.So i went around again,and entered the pits in the rightside lane next to the stalls,entered my stall,making sure i didn't catch the corner of stall 10,still got the penalty.Finally i entered pits using the left side entrance alongside the pit wall and then crossed the right lane and entered my #9 stall. STill got "LANE PENALTY". Whats the deal here?Anyone else encounter this problem?Will this occur during the online race? << Edited on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 1:19am EDT. >> |

The right hand lane is about 10 seconds shorter than the left. Top 10 go to the right, after 10th in quali go left. Penalty is to balance pit times. |

Ryano! got it. This is normal for any track that utilizes the original Sears Point track. As Ryano! said the left side lane is much longer than the right side lane so this penalty makes up the difference. The top 10 qualifiers will be utilizing the right side lane while all others will be in the right side lane. Thankfully we will have a new Sonoma soon with the current configuration! Thanks Smoke! |

Oi!  Good news about new layout, it did confuse me as the version of Sonoma we're used to (Forza version, I wont lie, I know names of tracks but rarely layouts) is not a great deal like the version we're on tomorrow. |
