Yet another mistake in the pits this week. This one really cost me. I had a strong Chick-fil-A Chevy tonight, and could have had a top 5 if it weren't for a speeding penalty on the next to last pit stop. I've lost track of how many times a mistake in the pits has cost me at the end. Congrats to my teammate Speedy, he ran a heck of a race tonight. We'll come back strong next week at Michigan.

well, wasn't such a great race for me. before the start I was playing with tires and wedge and wasn't paying attention, so when the flag dropped, I missed a shift and started in third gear. that got me behind by a bunch right from the start. and in a fuel race like this, once you get behind you stay behind! I was clocking some quick laps and had smooth pit stops. i managed to catch and pass a couple of cars, but I would no sooner get up to speed and start to gain on the pack, that dreaded fuel light would start flashing! I was going into the pits and the cars I was chasing, were pulling out. oh well, can't blame anyone but myself for that one! we learn as we go, right!?

Well that explains a lot, at the start to avoid hitting you I nailed the wall, my race was over from the drop of the green flag. now I am not blaming you for my poor finish. Most of it was drivers error. Entering the pits to quickly and the major crew chief mistake of not having reverse set up. We will get all of this steering and handling issues all figured out.
