The premier elite series of the ARL has had a reboot! Welcome the newly named ARL Patch Cup Series and the 2016 Official Announcement for Season 5... Our new professional hardcore mode series will feature an incredible number of changes that will surely increase competition throughout the field.

The 2016 Season has grown to 38 races on 35 nights featuring 32 championship events along with 6 Daytona Speedweeks races and the 2016 ARL All-Star events. Races are expected to run approximately forty-five to sixty to eighhty minutes long and wear factors will vary weekly between 2x and 5x. New in 2016 drivers will be racing in Hardcore mode with open setups. Qualifying sessions will consist of a ten or fifteen minute session where drivers are permitted to start and complete as many laps as they can during the session. All of this racing will take place in The Mod Squad's COT Platinum G3 mod, 2013 Cup add-on and 2015 Cup carset. The schedule also follows the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule closely so you can compete with the real drivers week to week. Three championships will be up for grabs - drivers will be competing for the overall driver, team and manufacturer championships. Racing begins February 13th at Daytona and ends at Homestead-Miami on November 19th.

New in 2016... LIVE CAUTIONS! We're proud to announce that the ARL's premier series will feature live cautions, live reviews and live penalties. Each event will feature at least two league staff members who will monitor the race from multiple angles and screens. This will enable League Officials to improve caution accuracy and issue penalties during the events. Details can be found in our new League Rulebook's Caution section.

This year championship drivers will participate in three reset segments following the twenty-three regular season races. Segment 1 will include 12 drivers reset and run three races. Segment 2 will cut the lowest 4 drivers in points and run another three races. Segment 3 will again cut 4 drivers leaving just 4 remaining for the final reset and race. Details can be found in the League Rulebook.

We will be racing Saturday nights at 10pm ET / 3AM UTC. Drivers will be allowed four custom paints and are permitted four provisionals during the season. We welcome racers of all skill levels and racing backgrounds.
