Next season/year we will be returning to a heat style format. We want to know what you guys would like to see out of that format... An elimination heat race? A heat race that sets the field for the main? or something else? Some combination? Let us know!

i don't know but daytona or talladega better be on the schedule next year!

I'll just throw some stuff out there to contribute to the conversation about the heat's:

the eliminations thing you mentioned, would that be something like the worst 2 or 3 finishers in the heat cant race in the feature? if you could elaborate on that a bit more.

You would probably want to just give some type of bonus incentive to the winner of the heat race instead of trying to give everyone points. Maybe something like 3 bonus points to the heat winner, everyone else gets 0.

I wouldn't bother having the heat race determine the race lineup as that turns out being quite the hassle and time consuming from my experience..first you have to qualify to set the grid for the heat..deal with the delays of everyone not wanting to click "go race" for both sessions..then race the heat..then get everyone lined up for the feature race without getting damaged and having to restart the lap. If its a drafting track with the manual start, the last row will more than likely lose the draft..it just seems more trouble than what its worth. I'm sure the admins here could make this process a lot less time consuming, if you did want to go that route. in other leagues this process is a complete nightmare.

The only real change i would love to see is a worst round drop or maybe even 2 (depends how long the season is).. especially if you end up going with a chase format for this. Also there should be at least a 2 car minimum for a "team" to participate in team points.

I was extremely happy with the way the scheduling was done with this league last season..it was so nice to not have to worry about racing every week and having time to prepare for the races..if you could stick to a similar schedule that would be awesome. Sorta like we race every 2 weeks type deal..

the schedule for 2013 looks good. alot of the tracks on it havent been run in a while.

i would like to see a plate track, Daytona or talladega on it or even the brickyard would be a fun drafting track to do.

instead of rallygrip and sears point, i'd rather see road couses we havent run at yet like a daytona rc, chatham, road america, brands hatch t, indy rc, theres alot of other road courses we havent done yet in these legend cars.

Alot of people seem to enjoy RallyGrip/RallySlick so that will stay.

What would you think about replacing Sears Point with a Dirt track? Or am I thinking in the wrong direction.

Nothing off the top of my head, there are plenty of options though.

I think running Daytona RC would be fun.

As for the dirt tracks there are alot of them out there that probably have never been tested. When and if I get time I will try to put a list together.

I really want to run a functioning Charlotte Dirt Track, maybe the new one just released has corrected physics, I'll check that out soon.

Daytona RC might not be a good fit for this mod as that track is extremely bumpy and might just flip these cars over.
Baton Short might be fun.
Can't wait for the Rallygrip race

You should just shorten the LCHRL schedule to 1 series a year instead of multiple series as you're barely even getting 10 regular racers.

Do you want seasons longer than 10 races?

it depends..if the season was spread out over the year it would work. but running every week like the schedule is now, i dont think anybody would be able to make all the races if there were more added on.(keep in mind once february hits there will be a league running on every day of the week basically) But you could do like a 20-25 race schedule spread out throughout 2013 which i think woudld work as long as they were spread out by 2 - 3 week margins.

yep spread the schedule out. 15-20 races would be great for a year long series

The only hesitation for a year long series is people will lose interest and drop out, unless there's some sort of chase format going on. If you keep them short, people are likely to stick around the entire season..both have their advantages and disadvantages.

I'm for either one as long its run on a biweekly schedule or something like that instead of every week.

I honestly don't know why these races arnt filling up to 12 - 15 people every week. these things are so much fun to drive..maybe some of the new guys from OB would be regulars going forward. We will have to start posting race reminders over there on their forums.

A chase format might be nice, even up the field again. You got such big leads in points in a couple of them that it kind of makes it pointless for 2nd place guys to even show up .

As for why more don't show up who knows. Could be anything from the mod being old and looking it as well, check out Rfactor's Legends mod , I think the mod is a blast to drive but the cars sure could use a refreshing as it is over 10yrs old, or alot of repeat tracks on the schedule. Pocono has been run 4 times in the past 2 years, Tring was run 3 times in 2011, All Star/Charlotte 4 times etc... Eldora though was absolutely fun and I would not complain if that track was run every season . Plus there's races almost every night and only so many people that play Nascar heat still, got to rest sometime .

Duster's done a good job with putting new tracks on the schedule or ones that haven't been raced in forever. I don't mind Pocono being run every season because its one of the few tracks where everyone can win at. You can go from 1st to 10th or 10th to 1st in 1 lap. I'm all for drafting tracks. That's why i think daytona , indy, or talladega should be added in, it would probably get the biggest driver turnout. The all-star race could be moved to any track but i understand why its at Charlotte, the last few races there have come down to the wire and seen the best finishes of the year. i will agree on Tring, that track will probably force me to retire someday.

We need to get osteo back on here. I haven't heard from him in a few months though. I contacted him about hroc but said he was too busy with things. I'll contact those OB guys and hopefully 5 or 6 of them will move over here.

I can assure you that if someone creates it, we will run it ASAP, some great tight racing there!
