Which track should we use for the 2014 All-Star Race? Normally we rotate between Pocono and Charlotte but in the poll above we've listed 3 options. Make your choice! We want to know what you think. |

i think the all-star event should be a different track every season instead of running the same two over and over again..i vote that the all-star event winner gets to pick next seasons all-star event track, same should go with derby events, winner gets to pick track.. (this should get a new track every season)..for example, i would pick Daytona for next seasons all-star race. << Edited on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 4:06pm EST. >> |

why you guys hating on daytona so hard? it would probably be a really fun race with lots and lots of passing. hell, we have tons of passing at pocono and that's not even suppose to be a plate track. |

I for one would like to see us race at Daytona as well. It would get my vote if it ever got put on the ballet. Evan Daytona RC or the bust stop track would be fun. Owner/Driver of the #07 Chevrolet's for NH Autosport

What is it with you guys and running these cars on big tracks? Maybe I just like realism more than the rest. So with that and the fact that U.S. Legends Cars won't sanction a race on tracks larger than 3/8 mile, I say go for a short track. Now if someone could build or convert the front stretch oval at Charlotte, that would be in interesting race. I mean they do only race for a million dollar purse in real life on that track. |

The bigger tracks provide for better racing. Take pocono, cali, chicagoland, charlotte, michigan, etc the racing is awesome.. Theres always 4 or 5 people in the hunt for the win with lots of passing. The short tracks follow this general rule, you qualify on pole you have a great chance of winning. (Pole winner basically should win every short track race if they dont make any mistakes). The top 2 break away and no one else has a chance after 5 laps. That and its more about blocking the low lane than anything. Racing tracks like bristol in this mod are no fun at all as you cant pass and you just have to wait for the guy ahead of you to bomb the corner to pass. << Edited on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 8:26pm EST. >> |

If that's the case then it sounds like the setups need to be changed to make the racing better. The setup can influence a lot of things, some of the best racing I can remember was while using some not so great setups with the raceski guys back in the day. When the setup sucks, the real drivers come to the front. I get tired of races where every single person has a shot or at least acts like they have a shot at winning because the combination of the track and setup takes no skill to get around fast. Do you want an All-Star race or do you want a race decided by who can get lucky enough to be in the front at the end and block everyone else? |

i think everyone can agree that the location needs to be changed every all-star event, that's why i proposed the idea of winner picks the track. you may end up having an all-star event on a short track, plate track, road course, dirt track, or in the snow of all places which all has never been done before. Or just get on a random rotation of Big, Small, Road, dirt, etc...Or just put a poll and be like ok we are doing a short track this time, list 5 random short tracks and have everyone vote on the one they want. i really would like to see multiple segments and the lowest finishing driver eliminated in each segment << Edited on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 4:36pm EST. >> |

Following GTSVIP's suggestion sorta , I would like to see us get out of the "Normal" or "Expert" mode for some of the races.#1 being that some of the setups are not so good in those modes, and #2 hardcore mode will eliminate the "follow the leader waiting for him to mess up" to pass for the lead. One of the reasons I, myself, have a hard time ..is that for quite a few of the "Normal" or "expert" mode racing in different mods is the wheel lock is not very compatible to my wheel,so jusy a slight oversteer causes a major scrub off of speed. (As Dusterlag could attest to this fact, from the last Bristol race in the G3 modlast week, when i scrubbed speed in the turn and he rearended me more than once.I know your all saying thats my problem but im pretty sure im not alone on this happening).I'd rather race hardcore, and have the oppurtunity to make this adjustment to give myself a better setup!and a better shot at winning! |

We actually ran 1 or 2 seasons in Hardcore mode and if I recall it/they were the most dominated season(s) we've ever run (and we've had many dominated seasons lately). Regardless it was voted down by league members (it was a poll on the NHRL/LCHRL forum which seems to be locked or I'd show it to you). I'm not sure that Hardcore mode would change the level of competition, although the time we tried it seemed to go the opposite direction.
We try to do something similar with the competition caution, but I'm not sure we want to do eliminations simply due to the lack of attendees.
We're always open to setup change suggestions, in fact we often make them. And as I'm sure you've noticed the setups we use generally do "suck" for exactly the reason you've described. - Forgive me if I've neglected to respond to the plate track discussion |

I know i'm kinda late to the party here, but I don't like big tracks for legends. Too dependent on the draft. Runs like a restrictor race. Some may like that, I don't . I like the short tracks for these cars because if you fall back, you can catch up. If we ran a daytona race, we'd all travel at the same MPH the whole time, and it would just be a waiting game to see who would mess up first. Not fun IMO. I don't mind some races having some drafting elements, but the ability to keep up shouldn't depend on the draft alone. |
