Hi fellas. I ran my 1st ARL race at TonaRC. I wished i had ask for a restart. The online POV was different than the offline practice view. I crashed in turn 1 cuz i was distracted and hit a curb and it spun me around. Oh well live and learn. I saved a replay and you old dogs keep the gas at 90% and never lift. You brake twice and down shift at corners. Plus my 5th gear always slows me down if i try and use it. I'll figure it out. See ya at Sebring. SF Edge |

Don't believe the Throttle of other drivers in a replay. There is a glitch in the game that always shows the throttle of other drivers (everyone except yourself) at ~90% as you said in the replays. Everything else you can see in the replay is correct (break and steering for example). Your best lap was not all that far off and you seemed to be running OK. One of the biggest parts of racing in Normal mode is strategy, especially on pit road (tires for example, I took no tires during the race yesterday while at least two of the other drivers who beat me took four on one stop and none on the second. This can really affect your time in the pits and your results on track. Another big part of Normal mode is keeping up your momentum, when the car bogs down from taking a turn too sharp you loose a significant amount of speed and ultimately track time. Try to make the turns as smooth and wide as possible to keep your speed up as much as possible. << Edited on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 6:14pm EST. >> |
