i want to protest this race and request a redo. me and patch both got screwed on our pitstops, both of our cars flipped in our stalls and blew both our engines. i think you need to run this series with no pitstops. every race someone gets the short end because of the car flipping. |

I think every other race my car has flipped during pit stop, or I blew my engine, and so has Grumpy's that I'm aware of. It's the nature of the beast with this mod. Nothing you can really do about it imho. One trick I did learn is during the pit stop, don't even touch your gas pedal during the pit stop, until the pit crew releases your car. I've blown my engine just by touching the pedal while the pit crew has serviced my car in the past. |

yeah we just need to eliminate pitstops with this mod alltogether..put the wear to like 1x so we dont have to pit. |

Indeed I think we have all flipped at one time or another during an event, I know I have. The key is to not push the gas until your flipped back over. In the end its not the games fault that you are reving the engine when the cars flipped over. Now I understand that its the games fault you flipped, but it didn't make you push the gas. That said I agree its a problem and we will be selecting a new mod following the final 4 races of this season, but for now if you flip simply wait until your car is flipped back over to accelerate. Consider it another race condition you must deal with, work your way though. |

Now after reviewing the replay I'm confused. Exactly how did the two of you blow your motors? Patch didn't flip, only Donaldson. Also it looks like the motors only blow after your leave your stalls? Patch looks even better than Donaldson speed wise until he leaves pit road. Hmm |

how i blew my motor i have no idea. When my car got done flipping i could still press the gas and go but it wouldn't let me go above like 100mph and kept going down and back up no matter what gear i was in. The orange engine button thing appeared on my screen after i left my stall and wouldn't go away. i could still creep along at like 50 mph and got up to 100mph at one point but then it shot me back down to like 30mph so i just parked it once i got back around again because it wouldn't let me go any faster than 100, i would have been a hazard out there on the track going 90mph slower than everyone else. As for Patch you would have to ask him what happened. I just typed in the that my engine blew after flipping in the pits and patch typed in that the same thing happened to him. i would still eliminate having to pit for these last few races. It makes the races kinda of pointless if you have a 50/50 chance of your race being ruined during the pit stop. This issue keeps happening to everyone so to make the races fair put the tire wear at 1x so we don't have to pit for the remainder of the season. Or do something like a mandatory pitstop for a splash of fuel only so our cars don't have time to flip over. << Edited on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 12:50pm EDT. >> |

I flipped on my pit stop, but didn't blow my engine. I have blown the engine before in the past. if you are mashing the gas and not shifting quickly enough it's gonna blow. Sorry, but I look at just a racing accident or engine malfuncation. << Edited on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 6:07pm EDT. >> |
