Duster Please explain to me what i did wrong on that pit on lap 8. I watched it again and again and i am at a loss to what you are seeing. Reading the rule book the only thing i can think of is rule 3. "Drivers must attempt to travel pit road single-file in the lane opposite of pit boxes." I don't feel it is my job to slow down and let someone into line when I entered the pits correctly in the lane that I should to travel down the pit road. I did everything correct and still get penalized due to someone entering the pits farther to the left of me. I didn't force that person down their when i entered, he was already their. |

First, I would like to remind everyone that I do not perform every review, we are a team of 4 dedicated volunteers who work on creating and enforcing the rulebook we have to the best of our ability. No penalty issued is ever personal. Don't forget, on occasion we issue ourselves penalties when we know something has occurred in violation of the rulebook. As for this particular penalty at the GR8-1 Truck Series Pocono Mountains 100 race on September 28, 2016. Yes, the penalty was issued due to a violation of rule V.G.4. Drivers must yield into a single-file line as soon as safely possible based on pit road entry order. ltfireman1604 enters pit road in a position behind Donaldson in the #05 truck. There is space behind ltfireman1604's truck with no other truck immediately behind him. As the rule states, ltfireman1604 must had yielded into single-file as soon as safely possible, in this case there was nothing preventing this from occurring. I hope this helps. << Edited on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:17am EST. >> |
