Rookiesrock held off thirty-eight time winner and 2012 series champion Donaldson to pick up his third league and consecutive victory Saturday night during the Grove Phoenix 90. Once again Patch captured the pole position award and led twenty-one laps early however lost ground throughout the night earning the Headache Award. Donaldson fought hard to finish just two seconds back in second position. Fordly56 finished third followed by KartRacer63 in fourth and Patch fifth. ltfireman1604 finished seventh. Grumpy struggled throughout the race and finished tenth - four laps down.
Patch increases his driver championship lead to nine over Grumpy while Donaldson moves into third, eleven points back. ltfireman1604 sits fourteen points back in fourth with DusterLag twenty-five points back in fifth. With just one race remaining before the 2014 Cup Series Champion is crowned DusterLag has essentially been eliminated after missing the last couple events. The battle is tight at the top going into Homestead and the Championship Finale. NH Autosport leads the team championship by ninety points over Twisted Metal with Chevrolet leading the manufacturer championship nineteen wins to Ford with eight.
