Donaldson Holds Off Train, Captures Daisy Duke Daytona 88 Victory


Donaldson held off a charging ten car train in the closing laps of the Daisy Duke Daytona 88 to capture victory during race one of the 2014B Home Pro Series. Donaldson captured the pole award and led the most laps picking up four bonus points at the end of the night. Fordly56 and DusterLag battled coming to the checkered with Fordly56 taking second after starting eleventh and earning the Hard Charger Award with DusterLag finishing third. BlackKnight and Breeze followed in fourth and fifth. BillyGood picked up the Fastest Lap Award and finished eighth. Eleven of the twelve drivers who started the race finished on the lead lap.

Donaldson begins the season with a four point lead over Fordly56 with twelve drivers within fourteen points and seven races remaining. With his victory Donaldson's new team TMS Wolfpack begins the season with a four point lead over Team Penske and six over NH Autosport. Chevrolet picks up one win to begin the chase for the manufacturer championship.
