Speedyman11 captured victory Saturday night at the KoolGuy500 Talladega 144 after starting on the pole and leading the most laps. Speedy held off four other drivers at the finish line including Donaldson who finished second, DusterLag who finished third as well as Breeze and puttzracer who finished fourth and fifth. GTSVip9, ltfireman1604 and BlackKnight raced to the finish line for sixth all running out of fuel while Fordly56 chased them from the tail end of the lead lap.
Seven races in and Speedyman11 leads the driver championship by eleven points over GTSVip9 with DusterLag twenty-one points back. Fifteen races remain before the first championship reset and Donaldson continues to fight for his way back into the top twelve. NH Autosport holds their lead over TMS Wolfpack in the team championship by just one point. Chevrolet captured their sixth win of the season and leads the manufacturer championship by five wins over Ford with one.
