Dover International Heat & Feature Captured by Speedyman11

Pre-season favorite Speedyman11 captured victory in the Dover International Heat and Feature races Friday night during week one of the 2015 season. Speedy prevailed in the heat race over Spike, BlackKnight, puttzracer and ltfireman1604 all within reach of the win. Speedy led all twenty laps after starting on pole from random draw. A three wide start in the feature had Speedyman11, Spike and BlackKnight on the front row at the drop of the green flag. Speedy took advantage of the inside line entering turn one and never let it go, leading all forty laps as the field battled behind. puttzracer finished second with ltfireman1604 crossing third and picking up the fastest lap award. BlackKnight followed in fourth with Breeze rounding out the top five. Spike retired early after he was the victim of hard contact from Grumpy who was struggling with handling at the start of the race. Speedyman11 begins the season with a four point lead in the driver, paved and oval championships over puttzracer and five points over ltfireman1604.
