Spike Takes Charlotte Legends Heat & Speedyman11 Captures Feature Victory

It was the LCHRL's first visit to the quarter-mile Charlotte Legends flat oval in the shadow of the Charlotte Motor Speedway's front stretch Friday night and Speedyman11 captured the feature victory, but the night started with Spike. Spike battled Speedy throughout the 25 lap heat race, edging out the win by just 1.451 seconds while also lapping the field from third back. Redimuss finished third in the heat. Spike and Speedy continued their tight battle in the feature race. Speedy ended up leading 35 laps in the 50 lap feature and picked up the fastest lap award on his way to victory. Speedy edged Spike out by a similar 1.458 seconds. Again the two drivers lapped the entire field from third place back. Redimuss finished third with puttzracer and Breeze rounding out the top five. Speedyman11 leads the driver, paved and oval championships over puttzracer by twenty points, up from twelve last week. Seven events remain before champions are crowned. TMS Wolfpack leads the team championship by twenty-seven over Team Speed Brigade while NH Autosport drops to third.
