Funding Update for July 2015

Dear Heat Community & Patrons, We received a huge jump this month due to one very generous patron and as a result met two goals. For June we were funded at $75 thanks to three very generous patrons. A HUGE THANK YOU to the patrons who have pledged to us during these three months! Without your help and support HeatFinder's services could not continue or grow. Good news first! Thanks to one new patron - two of our goals were met this month! First our minimum monthly expenses are covered at $60/month. This goal allows us to continue all basic HeatFinder services, listings, league hosting and Public Server 1. A new goal from last month was at $70/month which would allow us to re-start Public Server 2... Great news here, Public Server 2 is back up and running! A bit of good and bad news now... We have been experiencing network disruptions on Public Server 1 which has caused some racing issues, as a result we have decided to make a partial jump into our next goal early. Public Server 2 is back up but on a new dedicated server in a data center. This is technically our next goal which has yet to be funded. At $100/month (just $25 away) not only will Public Server 2 be properly funded but we will also make huge upgrades on Public Server 1! We still need your help, we appreciate you taking the time to read our update and considering our request. HeatFinder has always been and continues to be funded through donations and operated by volunteers. Today we are facing rising monthly and yearly expenses for our servers, websites, bandwidth, electricity and domains and as a result we are facing possible service level cut backs. With your support, even if it's just $1 per month (that's about 3.5¢ a day) you can help us improve our service, support developers in our community, increase and improve league racing and ultimately grow our nearly 15 year old Heat Community! Please consider skipping one coffee or energy drink during the month and pledge to HeatFinder... You can pledge as little as $1 and your dollar will make a huge difference! We are asking for your support through pledges, we have several goals setup on our Patreon page that begin with funding our current monthly expenses. We are collecting pledges through a great service called Patreon at patreon.com. With Patreon you control how and when your pledge is made, you can adjust your pledge or remove your pledge at any time. Patreon is a crowdfunding company founded in 2013 in San Fransisco by Jack Conte from Pomplamoose of YouTube fame and is often used by Podcasters, Musicians and Artists to support their creations. Think of it like an ongoing Kickstarter but instead of funding a single project with a single goal and single payout you are pledging an ongoing amount per month (as little as $1). This pledge can be adjusted or removed at any time.
