KartRacer63 Victorious @ TWChad Sonoma Valley 70 & Team News From The Last Month

Speedyman11 captured the pole position two weeks ago in preparation for the TWChad Sonoma Valley 70 and continued to perform well in the race. Speedy captured the fastest lap award and led 25 of the 35 laps but bad luck continued for the second week in a row after he suffered a disconnect and immediately dropped to the back of the field unable to finish. This left the door open for KartRacer63 to take the lead and hold off Spike to pick up his second victory of the year Saturday night at the TWChad Sonoma Valley 70.

Spike started last after missing qualifying but worked his way through the field to finish second and pick up the Hard Charger award. Spike post-race... "Unfortunately our rig got hijacked on the way to Sonoma for qualifying a few weeks ago by a coyote in the desert, [he] mumbled something about finally catching a roadrunner. We sure did bring one heck of a car for the race though. I did my job and kept if clean getting thru traffic as fast as I could. If the race was longer I think we could have caught [Kart] and gave him a good battle for the win. "

DusterLag finished third with BillyGood and Fordly56 finishing fourth and fifth all one lap down.

Kart led just eight laps but he only needed one to capture the victory for his #63 NH Autosport team. NH Autosport needed this victory after struggling against the new TMS Wolfpack powerhouse over the last several weeks. TMS Wolfpack has recently added several new cars to their team including Rookiesrock in the #48, ltfireman1604 in the #87 and puttzracer driving the #46. This is in addition to Donaldson, Speedyman11 and Spike who began the year under the team.

With TMS Wolfpack's dominating performances in Cup and other series', this week NH Autosport and Team Penske announced a new strategic partnership. NH Autosport drivers DusterLag and Grumpy unveiled the details Saturday with Team Penske driver Fordly56. While the teams will remain separate they will begin to share race data, car setup information and race strategy on and off the track week-to-week. Their goal is to better compete against the new TMS Wolfpack powerhouse. Thus far in 2015 NH Autosport has captured four wins and Team Penske has one while TMS Wolfpack has eight. NH Autosport currently runs five cars in the ARL Cup Series with drivers #92 BlackKnight, #01 DusterLag, #07 Grumpy, #91 GTSVip9 and #63 KartRacer63 while Team Penske runs two cars with drivers #22 BillyGood and #2 Fordly56. This new partnership will also affect other series and leagues where the two teams compete.

Despite a disconnect, Speedyman11's dominating performance during the first half of the Sonoma race helped him maintain his ten point lead over DusterLag in the driver championship. Eight races remain before the first championship reset. Redimuss is currently fourteenth in the driver championship and cut his margin from sixty-seven to thirty-eight after finishing sixth this week. Red is working his way up through the field as he races to make the top twelve, only twelve drivers will advance in the first reset. TMS Wolfpack leads the team championship by twenty-four points over NH Autosport who took one point out of the lead this week. Chevrolet captured their eleventh victory this season thanks to Kart. Chevrolet dominates the season with victories and they continue to lead the manufacturer championship over Ford with two and Toyota with one.
