Elliot9Matt New England 90 Dominated by Speedyman11 Who Captures Eleventh Win of Season

Speedyman11 dominated the Elliot9Matt New England 90 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday night during Reset Round 2. Speedy captured the pole early during open qualifying just edging GTSVip9 by two thousandths with a 28.475 second lap. The #11 TMS Wolfpack Chevrolet of Speedyman11 picked up the fastest lap award and led 78 of 85 laps. GTSVip9 fought to reach the lead but came up thirteen seconds short in second position after leading just one lap. Rookiesrock followed to finish third as the final car on the lead lap after starting seventh. DusterLag suffered a disconnect during qualifying and as a result started thirteenth, Duster worked his way through the field to finish fourth. Donaldson rounded out the top five.

DusterLag picked up the hard charger award... "We had a great run, it took us most of the race work work up from our starting position in thirteenth but with our team's great pit strategy and fast car we earned our top five. It's starting to look like our #01 team may be the only NH Autosport car in round 2 of the championship so we've got a lot of pressure going into next week."

Fordly56 finished sixth and had this to say post race... "I think one of the best kept secrets in the league is how the pros can run so hard and fast and still make it on fuel. My team mate and I showed up with pretty fast cars. We were doing practice laps in the 28.5s, but decided we would have to lay up in order to make our pit plan work. That's a lot easier said than done, cause it's very hard to run laps slower than you know you can! ... I laid back so much that when it came time to put the hammer down, I was too far behind and had traffic to deal with. BillyGood got ... racing door to door with the pros and wound up falling off the fuel plan. We both managed to maintain our points positions but instead of moving forward we now have to do some catch up. It was a nice track to run and a fun race. [It] was nice to see a healthy crowd there, look forward to coming back ... to redeem myself! "

puttzracer finished seventh and interviewed post race... "I had a strong run early, lead the first lap after a big dive down to the inside in round 1 to get that valuable bonus point which ended up allowing me to crack the top 6. Finished 7th, as usual, after a potential top 5 run was derailed by poor pit strategy. A top 5 is probably needed to advance to the next round next weekend. It'll be tough, but it's in the realm of possibility."

Speedyman11 remains in the lead by twenty-nine points over Fordly56 and thirty-one over DusterLag. One race remains before the top six drivers are reset and move onto round 2 of the championship chase. The race is tight trying to get into the top six, currently BillyGood, puttzracer and Breeze join the three championship leaders in the top six while the next five are within just fifteen points.

TMS Wolfpack continues to lead the team championship by an ever growing forty-five points over NH Autosport, up from forty last week. Chevrolet picked up their twentieth win of the year and seventh consecutive win for the manufacturer. Chevrolet continues to dominate the season and lead the manufacturer championship over Ford with three wins and Toyota with one win. While we're still mid-season, Chevrolet has essentially captured the 2015 Manufacturer Championship as there are not enough races for any other manufacturer to catch up.
