Rookiesrock Spoils Championship Reset With Victory at the doZer24 Talladega 144

After dominating Reset Round 1 and capturing six consecutive victories, Speedyman11's streak ended Saturday night after Rookiesrock captured his second win of the season in just six starts. The doZer24 Talladega 144 marked the start of Reset Round 2 which consists of three races before the single-race final round at Homestead next month.

Rookiesrock began the race eleventh after missing qualifying but quickly worked his way to the front of the pack. In addition to the win, Rookie picked up the Hard Charger and Most Laps Led awards after leading 17 of 54 laps. Speedyman11 captured the pole award by more than a tenth during group qualifying, running a 48.349 second lap.

DusterLag finished third after leading six laps and causing chaos and confusion early in the race... "We seem to have been suffering some kind of connection stability or synchronization issue with the server tonight and may have caused some damage early on, I still need to take a look at someone else's replay because we saw nothing unusual on our end. Regardless I feel really bad for the guys who ended up innocent victims of the confusion. In the end our team pulled off a third place victory and led a few laps which is good for the points. It looks like we're still in the top 3 to make the final round, hopefully we can keep up the momentum next week."

Breeze completed a strong fourth place run after finding out this week he had made the second round and could continue to fight for the championship title with his successful penalty appeal. Breeze sits in the top three with Speedy and DusterLag, but only by three points over Donaldson in fourth. ltfireman1604 finished fifth after leading fourteen laps and spending most of the race in the lead pack.

After last weeks race, rumors were abundant about potential pit road penalties, but after the penalties were released and no pit road penalties were issued debate was rampant about rulebook changes. The League has announced that some pit road procedure rule changes are coming but no specifics have been released as of yet.

Reset Round 2 has two more races, Texas and Phoenix, before the top three drivers still remaining from the last reset will race for the championship at the series finale in Homestead Miami. Currently the six reset drivers are only seventeen points apart and second through sixth are separated by only nine points, anything could happen next week.

TMS Wolfpack continues to lead the team championship by fifty-two points over NH Autosport, up from fifty last week. Chevrolet picked up their twenty-second win of the year and nineteenth consecutive win Saturday night. Chevrolet continues to dominate the season in wins over Ford who has three wins and Toyota with one win. Chevrolet has already captured the 2015 Manufacturer Championship as there are only three races remaining.
