Speedyman11 Captures 13th Victory at the Rowdy18 Texas 130

Speedyman11 captured his thirteenth career Cup Series victory Saturday night at the Rowdy18 Texas 130. Speedy captured the pole award with a 28.221 second lap during open group qualifying and led 81 of the 88 laps. DusterLag picked up the fastest lap award and finished three second behind in second position on very worn tires. Duster held off a charging Donaldson who had fresh tires and finished just two tenths back in third. Duster also captured the fastest lap award with a 28.219 second lap time. ltfireman1604 and Rookiesrock rounded out the top five.

puttzracer started the race second but struggled from the first lap... "It was a bit of a roller coaster night for the Chick-fil-A Frozen Lemonade team. I started in 2nd thanks to some help in qualifying from my teammate Speedy, then quickly dropped back after getting front end damage in the first couple of laps and dropping as far back as 12th thanks to that and a couple of bad pit stops, but I managed to battle back and finish 6th in the end. It's not going to be enough to get into the championship 3, but it's been a good run. Time to battle for that 4th position in points instead."

Redimuss earned the Hard Charger award after picking up five position and finishing seventh while BillyGood went in the other direction with the Headache award. Billy started fifth and finished the night eleventh.

Two races remain in the 2015 season and after next week at Phoenix only three drivers will be chasing the series title. After the Texas race Speedyman11, DusterLag and Donaldson hold the top three positions but Breeze sits just five points outside while Fordly56 and puttzracer are just eight points from the top three. Anything is possible for these drivers at Phoenix on Saturday. The championship series finale will be at Homestead Miami in two weeks.

TMS Wolfpack leads the team championship by fifty-fifty points over NH Autosport, up three points from the last race. Chevrolet picked up their twenty-third win of the year and twentieth consecutive win in the Cup Series. Chevrolet dominates the season in wins over Ford who has three wins and Toyota with one win. Chevrolet has already captured the 2015 Manufacturer Championship.
